Plus, it&#8217;s up roughly 8% since the Iran war started on Feb. 28. <\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the <span class=\"QuoteInBody-quoteNameContainer\" data-test=\"QuoteInBody\" id=\"SpecialReportArticle-QuoteInBody-3\">S&amp;P 500<span class=\"QuoteInBody-inlineButton\"><span class=\"AddToWatchlistButton-watchlistContainer\" id=\"-WatchlistDropdown\" data-analytics-id=\"-WatchlistDropdown\"><button class=\"AddToWatchlistButton-watchlistButton\" aria-label=\"Add To Watchlist\" data-testid=\"dropdown-btn\"><span class=\"AddToWatchlistButton-addWatchListFromTag\"\/><\/button><\/span><\/span><\/span> and <span class=\"QuoteInBody-quoteNameContainer\" data-test=\"QuoteInBody\" id=\"SpecialReportArticle-QuoteInBody-4\">gold<span class=\"QuoteInBody-inlineButton\"><span class=\"AddToWatchlistButton-watchlistContainer\" id=\"-WatchlistDropdown\" data-analytics-id=\"-WatchlistDropdown\"><button class=\"AddToWatchlistButton-watchlistButton\" aria-label=\"Add To Watchlist\" data-testid=\"dropdown-btn\"><span class=\"AddToWatchlistButton-addWatchListFromTag\"\/><\/button><\/span><\/span><\/span> are down more 3% since the war with Iran began, and the tech-heavy <span class=\"QuoteInBody-quoteNameContainer\" data-test=\"QuoteInBody\" id=\"SpecialReportArticle-QuoteInBody-5\">Nasdaq<span class=\"QuoteInBody-inlineButton\"><span class=\"AddToWatchlistButton-watchlistContainer\" id=\"-WatchlistDropdown\" data-analytics-id=\"-WatchlistDropdown\"><button class=\"AddToWatchlistButton-watchlistButton\" aria-label=\"Add To Watchlist\" data-testid=\"dropdown-btn\"><span class=\"AddToWatchlistButton-addWatchListFromTag\"\/><\/button><\/span><\/span><\/span> is off more than 2%.<\/p>\n<p>ProShares is active in the cryptocurrency space \u2014 operating more than a dozen cryptocurrency ETFs. It launched the <span class=\"QuoteInBody-quoteNameContainer\" data-test=\"QuoteInBody\" id=\"SpecialReportArticle-QuoteInBody-6\">ProShares CoinDesk 20 Crypto ETF (KRYP)<span class=\"QuoteInBody-inlineButton\"><span class=\"AddToWatchlistButton-watchlistContainer\" id=\"-WatchlistDropdown\" data-analytics-id=\"-WatchlistDropdown\"><button class=\"AddToWatchlistButton-watchlistButton\" aria-label=\"Add To Watchlist\" data-testid=\"dropdown-btn\"><span class=\"AddToWatchlistButton-addWatchListFromTag\"\/><\/button><\/span><\/span><\/span> last month. According to Arthur, it&#8217;s in the bottoming stage. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Bitcoin was trading at $125,000 five months ago. So, it was down 50-plus percent when this conflict erupted,&#8221; he said in the same interview. &#8220;I do like the fact that it&#8217;s outperformed a lot of other asset classes [since the war,] but&#8230; you have to widen the lens a little bit on that.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Arthur, who has exposure to bitcoin, indicates he&#8217;s taking a passive investing approach to the cryptocurrency right now.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;For myself as an asset allocator and a portfolio manager&#8230; I look at bitcoin as my benchmark, and then I bench everything else against that,&#8221; said Arthur, who added bitcoin has been an extremely difficult master to beat particularly since 2021.<\/p>\n<p>The digital currency has gained about 15% over the past five years.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"ArticleBody-googlePreferredSourceContainer\" data-module=\"GooglePreferredSource\" data-id=\"SpecialReportArticle-GooglePreferredSource-6\">Choose CNBC as your preferred source on Google and never miss a moment from the most trusted name in business news.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A bitcoin comeback may be underway.
